What is this?

Originally, Searchtempest was called 'Craig's Helper', and it was a simple tool that allowed you to search multiple Craigslist sites at once, quickly and easily.

For example, say you live in LA, and are looking to buy.. something.. really neat.. on Craigslist. But since this thinger is so very spiffy, you'd be willing to go for a little drive to get one. You might even be willing to head over to Vegas, Phoenix, Bakersfield, or even up to San Francisco. Now, you could go to each one of those craigslist sites separately, browse to the category you're interested in, and enter your search info.

Well, ya. Now it's even cooler than that. First off, it's not just craigslist. Search Ebay, Backpage, and Kijiji too, with more to come. Also, we've got a bunch of neat features, like sorting of cities by distance from your zip code. Finally, there are thriving forums where you can discuss Search Tempest, and the sites is searches.

What makes Searchtempest unique?

Over the years, a number of other Craigslist search sites have popped up. Most of these simply scrape the craigslist servers, work for a while, then get shut down. A few have lasted, but none is as fast or as feature-rich as this one. The new Java-based results format allows us to get and display results with blinding speed. You can search by distance from your zip code or choose cities manually. If you want, you can even get ebay results along with craigslist. And much more!
